Get off to a great start

Discover the University of Strasbourg’s resources for a successful start to the academic year:

  • Welcome days: a packed programme of events, meet-ups and information to help you start the year on the right foot
  • Begin with a boost: the Booste ta rentrée programme offers 3 days of workshops, advice and discussions aimed at prospective students to help you find your feet at university
  • Galères vikings: a video series to discover university services
  • Discover the services that can help you: a training module to identify the services that best meet your needs

To access content on Moodle AIR and other resources that require a login (Booste ta rentrée, FEU etc.), create an account or sign in with your Ernest credentials.

Be part of the action

Throughout the year, the university and its schools, faculties and institutes organise a wide range of events.

  • Join the welcome week organised by your programme to get information specific to your course
  • Follow the university and your faculty, school or institute on social media to stay up to date with the latest news and events
  • Discover the talks, conferences and events organised by Espace Avenir and the Alumni network
  • Enjoy a wide range of sporting and cultural activities

Looking for advice or information? Reach out to lecturers, academic and administrative staff, careers advisers, student success advisers and student associations – we're here to help you.

Need help refining your future plans? Espace Avenir, the university's central service for student guidance and career support, organises events to help you explore career options and better understand the world of work. Talk with professionals, teachers and students to gain insights, ask questions and shape your next steps.

Connect with other students on the FEU! University Support Forum, where you can ask questions, share tips and advice or discuss your interests.

Graduates from your programme have a wealth of experience and insights to share. On the Alumni Network website, you can explore the member directory, browse profiles that interest you and get in touch. Discover inspiring alumni stories and testimonials to gain new perspectives. The Alumni network also allows you to connect with international ambassadors for study or traineeship opportunities abroad, or find a mentor to guide your professional journey.

Get support

You can meet with an adviser from Espace Avenir in person or remotely, with or without an appointment, to talk about your study choices and get answers to your questions.

A student success adviser can help you find your footing, improve your study methods and overcome obstacles. You can also get in touch with the Student Success Support Department (Pôle d'Appui à la réussite étudiante – ARE) at the Institute for Educational Development and Innovation (Institut de développement et d'innovation pédagogiques – IDIP).

Sign up for tutoring to get support from more experienced students. Ask questions, deepen your understanding and develop effective strategies for success.

At the start of the academic year, take part in success workshops (Ateliers Réussite) and talk with an expert about topics such as time management, memory techniques or mind mapping. You’ll discover practical methods to help you study more effectively and with confidence.
